About Us
Born in 2016 by Dianne Elizabeth and Georgette Calomeris, the annual RETRO PARTY FOR CHARITY is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit entity with three specific goals: 1) to raise awareness of nonprofit organizations local to Frederick, Maryland and surrounding areas and 2) to bring in donated dollars to benefit those nonprofits and 3) to give our community a chance to come together and enjoy a fun and uplifting event each year. In 2017, the charity of choice was S.H.I.P. - The Student Homelessness Initiative. In 2018, Hospice of Frederick County's Kline Hospice House was the recipient. This year, 2019, all proceeds of our March 9th event will benefit Building Veterans, a very important recovery and reacclimation-to-life program designed to provide housing, guidance, teaching and support to Veterans suffering from PTSD, hidden brain injury and/or depression.
